This is Krista's second season with the Orcas. We are so excited with her coaching skills, especially in stroke development, that she brings to the team.
Krista started her swimming career at the age of 6 at her local YMCA in Kankakee, IL. She continued competitive swimming though high school and college (Rochester Institute of Technology). She was the captain of her high school swim team and a captain her junior and senior seasons at RIT.
Krista has a Bachelor of Science in Travel and Tourism Management. She has worked as a tour coordinator/developer and translated these skills into a Membership Director with the YMCA. Now in Colorado she has become a passionate volunteer working with : Berthoud schools, Loveland Environmental Education, Make a Difference Day, Lifebridge Church, Longmont Christian Women's Connection, as well as coordinated an annual Swim-A-Thon benefitting House of Neighborly Service.
Krista coached the Town of Berthoud's Recreational Swim Team for youth 6 to 18 years of age for 9 years growing the program from 25 swimmers to over 80 swimmers. In addition to her responsibilities with the Orcas, she is the Head Coach of the newly formed Turner Middle School Swim/Dive team.

Kellie joined NCO Synchro as a coach in 2012. She began swimming with the Walnut Creek Aquanuts (WCA) in CA from ages 7 to 17. Taking a brief hiatus from synchro, she competed in speed swimming and water polo during her undergraduate years at Chapman University.
Kellie initially moved to CO to pursue a MS in Conservation Leadership and swam with the Colorado State University’s synchro team during the 2013-2014 season.
Kellie loves coaching for the Orcas and especially coaching figures!

This is Sarena's tenth season coaching for the Orcas. She began her synchro career at 10 and competing all the way through high school and college. Sarena helped start the CSU synchro team in 2007, coached for the summer synchro team from 2007-2012 and began working with the Orcas in 2005. She completed her undergrad education as CSU and is currently teaching graphic arts at a K-12 school in Lafayette. Her favorite part of coaching is making connections with the swimmers and watching them improve over the course of a season and their synchro careers.
Alyssa joined our coaching staff in 2013. Synchro started for Alyssa with the Boulder Aquateens (now known as 5280 Synchro), swimming with them for 8 years. She currently swims for Colorado State University’s club team. Alyssa loves synchro and llamas.

Sasha began coaching for Orcas in 2016. Her synchro career began in 2006 with Flagler County Belles. After moving to Illinois she continued her career with the Aquasprites through the 2015 season. She is now a student at CSU pursuing a Bachelor of Neuroscience, Behavioral Cognitive Concentration. Sasha brings enthusiasm and a bubbly personality to the team.
